R-3 Road Plan Public Hearing remains at 6:30 P.M.

Legislative Update:  The Board of Supervisors at its October 23, 2019 Meeting will be requested to ratify minor changes that were requested by the Palm Beach County Legislative Delegation.  The proposed local bill was filed to study the feasibility of converting the District into a municipality, or creating a new municipality in the Acreage. It authorizes the District to create an Incorporation Committee, develop a draft charter, and conduct a referendum, based on facts and community input. Lands within the Village of Royal Palm Beach and the City of Palm Beach Gardens will be removed from the boundaries of the District effective October 1, 2020. The District will enter into Interlocal Agreements with the Village and the City addressing services and facilities.

On behalf of the Board of Supervisors, Executive Director and District Staff, we want to wish Tim Wojnar, Parks and Recreation Director, the best of luck with his next chapter in life. After two decades, Tim has decided to enjoy life and fish. We appreciate his years of public service in the military, then here locally helping to improve our quality of life. One of his favorite accomplishments was to make sure that on any given day, residents could enjoy their time at one of our parks whether on a playground, basketball court or in a horse arena.
