Indian Trail Improvement District, FL
Home MenuMobility Plan
The purpose of the Indian Trail Mobility Plan is to analyze existing conditions, develop a menu of appropriate improvements, and provide a prioritized list of recommended improvements for the transportation network within the Indian Trail Improvement District (ITID) “active
units” area. These recommendations include a suggested street typology along with a menu of potential mobility improvements to enrich and enhance the unique rural lifestyle and equestrian activities that hallmark Indian Trail as a distinct community within Palm Beach
County.
With funding from both ITID and the Palm Beach Transportation Planning Agency (TPA), this plan is designed to create a blueprint for a flexible, long-term implementation strategy and enable the ITID to work in concert with partner local governments and agencies, property owners, and residents to create a sustainable transportation network that provides for the greatest safety, mobility, access, and quality of life for ITID residents. The planning process has included reviews of background conditions, field work, analysis of current and projected trends, and extensive public input as well as coordination with Palm Beach County, adjacent municipalities, Florida Department
of Transportation (FDOT), and TPA to further inform the plan. The Plan is also designed to help advance the safety and mobility objectives contained in the TPA’s Long-Range Transportation Plan in a manner that prioritizes the needs of ITID residents.
