While Hurricane Sandy was quickly heading toward the eastern shores of Cuba Wednesday night, Palm Beach County School District officials began preparing for possible impacts from the storm.
The district announced late Wednesday that students in public schools will be released three hours early Thursday, and on Friday, schools will be closed altogether. In addition, all after-school activities, games, events are canceled.
